More Florida!

Sawyer and I at Clearwater Beach, FL. It was really cold this morning (foggy and misty) but it was still a fun day. I am actually really glad we went because due to the weather Sawyer's hair turned super curly...it was so adorable!

This is our private heated pool in our condo's backyard! Sawyer was in his lobster/crab floaty alot! He absolutely loved the pool; he would even start kicking so much that he would actually move himself around the pool.

The family at Downtown Disney. Tom bought me some really nice bath soaps here; what a wonderful husband!

Um yeah....we didn't buy that hat.

This better not be a sign of the future Sawyer.

Our family at Tybee Island, GA. This is the last time we saw Sawyer's blue sunglasses :( Now they are part of the ocean.

We traveled through Daytona, FL on our way and took the "Daytona Experience" tour with my parents. Tom really enjoyed this tour and was able to "touch" hands with Dale Jr!

Sawyer's first time walking in sand! This is at Daytona Beach.

This is Sawyer and I at the Olympic Park in Atlanta, GA.

We went to the Atlanta Aquarium on the way down to Florida. There was a diver in one of the tanks cleaning the glass and he sure did have fun with Sawyer. We absolutely loved this Aquarium.

Florida Trip 2009

Sawyer's first time he pulled himself up to a standing position. This is at the hotel in Atlanta, GA. It was not a very good night sleep that night because Sawyer slept all day in the car. You know it's not a good sign when you go down for breakfast and this couple comes up to you to adore your son and then asks you this question, "You were the ones on the ninth floor?". I apologized so much but they were really sweet about it because they completely understood because they had six kids.

We went on the Jack Daniels Distillery tour in Lynchburg, TN. Even though Tom nor I (and Sawyer) don't drink this stuff, it was still a very fascinating tour.

Tom and Sawyer next to "The General" in Nashville TN at the "Cooter's Place".

Alright Nashville...what is up with this? "24"...seriously?

Sawyer taking over the wheel at one of our pit stops on the way.
We had such a blast in Florida and trully we are still wishing we were there. If it wasn't for work we would still be there. I will keep posting more pictures so keep checking back!

New Pictures

I pulled myself up on a new toy!

Hey, how do you get the water out?

Hey Mom, look at my bubble beard!

AH, I'm stuck in a box!

Battle of Snuggles?

The battle continues.
Last night I laid Sawyer down at 9:40pm and he woke up at 3:00am. I changed the diaper (yes he is still screaming) and then I rocked him. To my surprise he only screamed for about 1 minute! I couldn't believe it; he just snuggled right up to me and fell back to sleep. So at 3:15am I laid him in his crib and went back to bed.

Well, that didn't work because he woke up immediately and began screaming again. Back in the room I went and again he only screamed for about 1 minute, snuggled up to me and fell asleep. At 3:30am I laid him back down and went to bed.

Then 3:36am rolls around and he is screaming again. This time I just let him scream in his crib for 20 minutes (don't judge me, it was so hard for me to listen to him scream). I then woke Tom up and sent him in to give him his pacifier to see if he could settle him down. Tom picked him up and he settled right down so then Tom laid him down.

Once again (it is now 4:00am) he begins to scream. So I went in there and thought to myself, "he never ate his cereal and veggies for supper even though I tried feeding it to him five times I guess he is hungry". So I gave in and fed him and he was sleeping by 4:15am.

I still think I won this battle though because by the time I did feed him it was 6 1/2 hours after his last feeding and that was after his tummy not being that full when he went to bed. I think I won also because I did not give into to him right away (I know just let me think what I want). ;)

Battle #2

Last night we laid Sawyer down at either 9:30 or 10 (I can't remember) but he did wake up at 2:45am. I was not going to give up though (poor Sawyer for having a stubborn mom). I held him for 30 mintues while he continued to scream at me, but he finally fell asleep at 3:15am and slept until around 7:00 - 7:15am. I'm ready for tonight.

Also yesterday with him turning 7 months old we pulled out the baby food sweet potato "stars". He did so well. He was even able to pick up a star off of his tray and put it in his mouth! I was so proud of him.

Sawyer...my strong willed son.

Yesterday he woke up at 7:00 am and then he took a nap from 11-12 and then another one at 5:00 - 5:30, so only 1 1/2 hours of sleep (not enough). By 9:00 he was spent so I got his PJ's on, fed him and down he went...

At midnight he was up again and I thought to myself...there is no way he can be hungry after three hours. So what do you get when you have one stubborn mommy and one strong willed son....an all out battle! So there we were for 30 mintues not just crying but SCREAMING! I am going to look tonight cause I am thinking I have bruises where he grabbed me so hard while screaming. I wasn't going to give in though and I WON!

12:30 am...he was sound asleep again! I left at 4:30 am for DePere. I asked Tom later this morning what time Sawyer woke up and wouldn't you know it wasn't until 6:00 am. That means it is possible for him to not eat and possibly be asleep for nine hours! Oh yeah...I am so ready for another battle tonight because this whole every four hours at night at seven months old is going to end right....NOW!

He also turned 7 months today! Happy 7 months Sawyer!
