TN Vacation Day 1

After church on February 12th we got in the van and headed out for our vacation!!! We stopped at Wal-Mart to pick up some sandwiches and lunchables that we could eat on the road. We drove the whole afternoon and didn't stop until Effingham, IL to eat at Steak & Shake. After that we only had a little bit farther to go to make it to Salem, IL where we got a room at the Comfort Inn & Suites. When we pulled into the hotel drive we could hear a funny noise when we turned the steering wheel. After we unloaded the kids and luggage Tom went back outside to check out the van and discovered power steering fluid leaking out of the bottom - YIKES! We decided to take the van to the dealership first thing the next morning so that we could quickly get it fixed and head on out to our next destination.

Tom ended up having to sleep between the two boys in order to get them settled down and sleeping. Once Tom woke up in the middle of the night he did crawl into bed with me and the boys slept through the night!
