Pumpkins!

Today MieMie and I took the boys to a home on County G that sells pumpkins in their yard. This is our second year going there to get our pumpkins because there is no crowd and they are at a reasonable price.

I am not going to lie; my boys are hilarious and a bunch of clowns!

I am so madly in love with them that my heart just melts when I see them all together like this having fun and enjoying being brothers.

Time to pay for our trunk full of pumpkins!

Happy 35th Birthday Daddy!

What a wonderful day celebrating Daddy! Tom had to work today but we still made it an exciting day! First I gave him his present from me before he left for work because I just couldn't wait any longer! I made him a blanket out of all his old T-Shirts that I "stole" back from him right before he was going to get rid of them to clean out his closet; he LOVED it! Sawyer insisted that he also give Daddy a present so he went downstairs, picked out a tractor and gave it to Daddy; it was super sweet.

When Sawyer came home from school we blew up 35 balloons and decided to throw him a mini-surprise birthday party when he got home from work. We had so much fun decorating the house; MieMie even came over and helped. Then we all waited for him to walk in the door and started singing "Happy Birthday" to him right when he walked in. Then it was opening the present from the boys and eating Strawberry Cheesecake!

We LOVE You Daddy!

Wo-Zha-Wa 1/2 Marathon

I did it; I finished my 2nd 1/2 Marathon! This year I wanted to head back to the Wisconsin Dells just to prove to the hills that I could run them! I picked Wo-Zha-Wa 1/2 Marathon and oh wow that was A LOT more and bigger hills than the Honky Tonk last year. I am so proud that I just kept running and never walked! I finished in 2 hours 8 minutes! Two of my neighbors also ran the race and it was her 1st 1/2 Marathon; super proud of her.

It was a great morning not only did I finish but I had an awesome cheer leading crowd; my hubby, Sawyer, Mason, Carter, Sarah Kravick, Bruce and Amy Luebke! I am so blessed.

Picture Day

We decided that we will be taking the boys school pictures. I had a lot of fun doing this with Sawyer and really had a hard time picking out my favorite picture. I love his dimple and his love for farming!

Mason was starting to feel left out and insisted I his picture. I know it's a horrible picture but it makes me laugh because it definitely shows our Mason!

I also took this time to capture Carter's 18 month picture; I know it's a little bit late but still better than never! Carter right now LOVES his tongue, belly button and our popcorn pan!

Sawyer's 1st Day of Kindergarten!

I am still in shock that my firstborn son is in Kindergarten and is gone for the entire day. Sawyer ended up having the same teacher for K as he did for summer school; we were really excited about this! We even saw his teacher at the Car Show in Portage and she informed us that she hand picked Sawyer; my heart melted. We have fallen in love with Mrs. Grasse. Sawyer first had an open house on August 29th where we were able to go to his classroom and find his desk and where he will be hanging his coat. His classroom is called the "Penguin Pals".

Sawyer's favorite food is chicken on the bone which is really weird considering how picky of an eater he is. So on Sunday I made him his favorite meal, chicken on the bone and corn on the cob, to celebrate him going to school.

Tuesday September 3rd was the official 1st Day of School! Sawyer was so excited and I was having anxiety! He requested to have waffles for breakfast and we even gave his teacher, Mrs. Grasse, a special gift for the 1st Day of School. Tom had off that day so we all planned to walk to school. We got a block away from home when Sawyer announced, "We forgot my shot." We did so we all turned around, gave him his shot and then we all drove Sawyer to school. I did get out and snap a couple of pictures of him and then off he walked into those front doors. I will admit that I did get chocked up and my eyes got teary eyed but I held it together because of the smile on his face!

Deer Creek Campground

Our final camping trip of the season was spent at Deer Creek Campground in Cambria. This was our first camping trip to Deer Creek Campground and it will also be our last. We were not overly impressed with the place; it was small, lack of privacy, not much to do and loud at night. We ended up getting creative with our activities and still had fun.

We visited Grandma Annie so that we could get some wood for our campfire. She then gave us a yellow watermelon that she grew in her own garden; it was delicious! We also went to Great Grandma Deich's house to have dinner with her and Grandma Annie. On our way there we stopped at the cemetery so that Tom could show us where his Dad and Grandpa are buried.

We spent a little time at MieMie & Papa to help cool down from the heat. Later that day they joined us at the mini golf course at the campground. Mason had a very frustrating time getting the ball into the hole and he insisted that no one help him which just made the whole experience not very enjoyable for him. Carter had a blast climbing around and checking out every hole no matter what it took to get to the hole. That evening the campground brought in a one man band to play some music; it was right across from our campsite. We had fun dancing around with MieMie and Papa and eating S'Mores; I am dancing with mine!
