D5 #11

This month we didn't have a specific day for our D5 but rather the entire month!!! Since Tom took off 8 weeks of work after Carter was born it came out that the entire of month of February he was home! We did go on vacation to TN for 10 days and the rest of the month we just hung out! It was awesome to just be home with everyone and make lots of memories!

Winter Unit

We were expecting to do a lot more outside with the winter theme but with our mild weather this year plans changed slightly. Tom was still able to at least get out once and make a Snowman with the boys and neighbor kids though! Sawyer also is really good at making the "S" sound for "snow"! He even impressed Mie Mie and Great Grandma Deich while doing his 1-10 puzzle.

Nolan Trent Schoessow

While we were on vacation the newest member of the Schoessow family was born! On February 16th Nolan Trent arrived! When we came back from vacation we did not go and see him due to minor sickness (just the common sinus/cold symptoms) and we didn't want to spread our germs. So we went tonight and fell in love with him right away!

Uncle Terry had fun holding Carter and Uncle Tom enjoyed holding Nolan!

When Nolan was born he only weighed two ounces less than when Carter's birth weight and we could not believe what a difference only 3 weeks makes. Carter seemed HUGE next to Nolan.

It was really sweet watching Emma watching over her brother. While Sawyer, Ava, Brenna and Mason continued playing Emma just sat down and watched the babies and then about every 2 minutes she would lean forward and give Nolan a little kiss - it was so precious!

Happy 29th Birthday to Me!

Yesterday I entered into the last year of being in my 20's! If you would have asked me ten years ago what I thought my life would look like at the age of 29 I don't think this is what I had pictured - it's BETTER! I am so blessed to be married to a man that loves me more than I can grasp for almost 5 years and be a mother to 3 handsome boys all under the age of 3 1/2 years! There is never a dull moment in my life and even though it does get crazy I still would never trade it in.

The boys bought me a new docking station for my iPod for my craft room! Then Tom had his mom come over to watch Sawyer and Mason while we (and Carter) went out to eat at Olive Garden; it was wonderful!

My mom brought my present over this morning and I got a cool picnic bag! (The colors and flowers on it matches our wedding!) I also received some awesome quilting tools. My friend Kris bought me a 52-week devotional by Karen Kingsbury and took me out to eat at Sprecher's and Cold Stone Creamery!

I am truly blessed to be surrounded by my husband, my boys, family and great friends!

Sawyer goes to School!

Today Sawyer was able to go to school with his friend Calvin! Calvin attends a 3-year old program and they had a "Invite a Friend" to school day and he picked Sawyer! Sawyer was so excited when we told him the night before that he would be going to school that I am pretty sure it was the fastest bedtime routine ever. It was also Pajama Day which is perfect because when Sawyer and Calving play together at their houses 90% of the time they are in their Pajama's!

Before we got in the car we had to get a picture of Sawyer in his PJ's and his back pack. I have no idea why he is holding up six fingers.

As soon as the boys got out of the car they hit the ground running - literally! I hope they keep this excitement of going to school for a long time.

They were so excited to get to school we barely got them to pause long enough to get their picture together.

Sawyer got to put his things in Calvin's locker.

Then Calvin grabbed Sawyer's hand and lead him into the classroom.

Sawyer could not stop talking about school once he got home and especially how they got to be Doctor's!

Carter is 1 month old!

Carter's toes and MieMie's wedding ring ~ 02.11.12

We cannot believe how fast you are growing! When we went to your one month check-up we were shocked to find out you have already gained 4 pounds! You are a very good and easy baby. You sleep between 3-5 hours at a time. You wake up to eat and poop and then it's back to sweet dreams! At night your sleep pattern continues but it does take you longer to fall asleep compared to Sawyer and Mason at that age. I am pretty sure this is because you just want to hang out with me since during the day I am pretty occupied by Sawyer and Mason; so I will take the precious time we have alone together!

Weight: 12 lb 8 oz (97.92%)
Height: 22.5" (83.61%)
HC: 39cm (68.80%)

TN Vacation Day 10

Our final day on the road. It took us eight hours to drive from Louisville to home! We were really proud of the boys for how well they did in the van; it wasn't until hour six that we finally turned on a movie for them to watch. We did stop in Indianapolis, IN and got breakfast at Chick-fil-A for breakfast. We ate in the van to save some time and it also entertained the boys in the van. We had a wonderful time, made lots of memories and will never forget the beautiful creation God made just for us!

Our final mileage from start to finish!

The boys loved playing with the Welcome Home balloons that were left in our house by Mie Mie!

TN Vacation Day 9

After eating breakfast, loading up the van and cleaning out the condo we hit the road and headed off for Louisville, KY! Once we arrived we toured where the Louisville Slugger is made! Even though Mason was super crabby we still really enjoyed the tour and all that we learned. After the tour I took Mason and Carter back to the van and Tom and Sawyer stayed to check out more things and purchased a personalized Louisville Slugger!

This is what our condo looked like from the main road as we left.

We spent the night at the Galt House in Louisville and then ordered in room service for dinner! It was a pretty fancy hotel so we also had fun walking around the hotel and looking at everything.

TN Vacation Day 8

Today was our last day in Gatlinburg, TN so we thought it would be nice to just kick back and relax at our condo! This ended up being a good thing since it did rain most of the day. We did however go to church this morning at First Baptist Church; it was kind of cool to meet new people. We also ate out for dinner at Ogle's Brick Oven where we all shared a pizza.

We also were amazed by how much the view up in the mountains changed so quickly. These two pictures were taken from our balcony this morning only a half hour apart from each other.

This was the sign we saw every time we pulled onto the driveway that lead up to our condo!

TN Vacation Day 7

After eating our breakfast at the condo we all got into the van and headed out for Knoxville, TN to go to the Zoo! Even though it was a BEAUTIFUL day it was still considered winter for them so the admission prices to get in were half off and some of the animals were not outside. We still had a lot of fun though and saw a lot of animals!

For dinner we ate at the Hard Rock Cafe in Gatlinburg, TN. Sawyer was entertained by this machine even though Tom and I had no idea what it was. It functioned like a giant iPad type thing.

Back at the condo we all had our normal night of relaxing at the condo.
